No two months of greenhouse gardening are quite the same. With a wealth of plant material to select from, and with your individual gardening program to develop, each month will be excitingly different.
A great deal of the planting and manual work occurs during two months: September, when you start winter-flowering seeds and bulbs; January, when you prepare for spring. The beauty, fragrance, and excitement of the other ten months more than compensate for the extra activity in September and January.
For your consideration when planning your schedule, here is a month-by-month list of greenhouse activities, and a list of plants that can be in flower each month. Probably you will not select everything listed for a given month, but you will see that it is possible, with a little planning, to have flowers in your greenhouse every month of the year.
