Shade entire greenhouse if it is to be used during summer.

Hose down walks and mist plants to lower the temperature and provide humidity.

If general housecleaning is in order, move all plants outdoors by the end of the month before weather gets too warm to work in comfort; follow housecleaning suggestions.

Plan your fall and winter growing schedule.

Check supplies and order what you will need.

Start seeds of tomatoes for a September crop, snapdragons for winter bloom, and trachymene for Christmas flowering.

Make cuttings of outdoor shrubs.

Pot bulbs of Lilium tigrinum, tiger lily, for October bloom.

Move camellias outdoors.
