For decoration at the very least, every greenhouse should have at least one hanging plant - a lovely lantana, a tuberous begonia, or a trailing geranium in luxuriant growth. Not only does this help to brighten and decorate the entire greenhouse, the plants hanging closer to the roof of the greenhouse tend to lightly diffuse the light and increase the overall humidity and moisture-content of the greenhouse.
A galvanized-wire or plastic basket suspended on a wire or chain can be used to display one plant or, filled with sphagnum moss, it can hold several plants of one kind, as tuberous begonias; or different kinds in an attractive combination, as fuchsias with tradescantia and ivy. If you prefer soil to sphagnum, liners of pressed fibers should be used inside the basket frame to contain the soil.
For practical purposes, try not to hang the basket out of easy reach of your watering system. If it is difficult to water, invariably it will be missed from time to time and therefore suffer times of drought.
