Formerly known as Browallia Jamesonii, and still popularly called "orange browallia," this shrubby vine with small green leaves and orange-red blooms needs a warm spot in your 50 F greenhouse, good air circulation, and plenty of light but not direct sunlight.
Grow in equal-thirds mix of soil, well-rotted manure, peat, with a little sand added for drainage if your soil is heavy. Cuttings propagated early in summer will be ready to bench (space them 8 inches apart) or pot in July. Blossoms appear in January; vine continues to flower for several weeks.
Keep evenly moist but do not overwater. Taper off on water when plant is resting after blooming.
