Wonderful for baskets, these are available in several colors and in single or double flowers. Start tubers in January, following procedure recommended above for summer-flowering tuberous begonias.
In about four weeks they will be ready to transplant to a basket, three or four evenly spaced (depending on size of basket), in a mixture of three parts leafmold, one part well-rotted manure, and one part sharp sand.
They should be in flower by June if fertilized once a month and kept in filtered sunlight.
Dry off and store tubers in fall, same as the other summer-flowering tuberous begonias.
