Delicate pansy-like flowers are borne profusely on stems about a foot high. In a cool greenhouse, blossoms remain for an exceptionally long period of time. Germination of seed takes 2 to 3 weeks at 55 F.
Transplant seedlings to medium heavy soil in bench, space 8 inches apart, keep on dry side; pinch to induce branching. Seed sown in August will provide flowers from October through February, in white, pink, red, orange, or shades of blue.
