One of the most unusual flowering plants I ever tried in my greenhouse. Lovely, lacy foliage bursts with an endless procession of moderate-size poppies in dazzling shades of yellow through brilliant orange, and bicolors of rose and white, scarlet and amber.
Sow seeds directly onto bench soil where plants are to grow; cull to avoid crowding when plants are 2 inches high. You can have a rewarding display in only 2 feet of bench space, as these poppies are everblooming.
(This plant's name is frequently misspelled "Eschscholtzia" in catalogues.)
