If not controlled, this vine would crowd everything else out of the greenhouse, but it adapts very well to being grown as a pot plant when it is cut back to under 12 inches every spring.
Bougainvilleas flower from early fall to late spring (there are some hybrids that flower the year around) with colorful bracts of white, salmon, purple-red, and yellow. Equal-thirds soil mix, full sun, twice-monthly feeding, evenly moist.
Propagate by 3-inch tip cuttings, which will be flowering plants within a year.
