Small to very large plants that are almost everblooming if the new roots along the aerial stems are kept covered with damp sphagnum moss. Use an all-purpose soil mix, or one for epiphytic plants, and keep it wet.

Tropical conditions of warmth, high humidity, and bright light but no direct sunlight promote "flowers" (actually spathes) in all shades of red, pink, orange. Propagate by suckers, root cuttings, or seeds.
